About
What is theroadto45.com?
theroadto45.com began with a simple thought: when I was an IB student, I often found myself confused about IB and lonely in its experience. I wished there was a place online which could help me to go through it more smoothly.
This is why on this website I create content directed at IB students, with honest advice, practical resources, and productivity tips that I wished I heard when I was a student. I want to be that couple-years-older friend who’s already been through it. Someone to tell you what actually helps, what doesn’t, and how to make sense out of it all without losing your mind (or your sleep).
Here, you’ll find content that hopefully makes the IB a bit less overwhelming and maybe even enjoyable. Whether you’re just starting IB or about to take your final exams, I promise you will discover something you didn’t know you need, or at least something you can relate to.
theroadto45.com is the IB experience in full: the detours, the shortcuts, and the stories along the way.

Why ‘theroadto45.com’?
If you’re an IB student, you probably already know that in IB language, a 45 is the perfect score, the dream. ‘theroadto45.com’ is supposed to emphasise that it really isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress and the journey, and what you get out of it.
The name is symbolic: every student’s ‘road to 45’ looks different. For some, it’s reaching a 7 in their toughest or favourite subject. For others, it’s simply balancing study with life.
